In this tutorial, we're going to show you how to properly use a microfiber towel when cleaning everything in your home, from your windows to your floors.

With the power of a microfiber towel, cleaning your home will be a walk in the park. This article will examine the benefits of using a microfiber towel and run through suggestions on how to use them effectively.

So grab a microfibre towel and let’s get started!

The Benefits You Probably Don’t Know About Microfibre Towels

  • Cleaning that is safe for the environment and free of harmful chemicals.
  • No lint or pilling like cotton towels.
  • Saves you money.
  • Ultra-absorbent - microfibre lifts and holds liquids, dirt, grease, and even bacteria.
  • Lasts much longer than regular cotton towels.
  • Is excellent for dry dusting, buffing, and both dry and wet cleaning.

How to Fold a Microfibre Towel

Believe it or not, there is a proper way to use microfibre towels. You never want to bunch/scrunch your towel in your hands. Learn the secret to folding them for maximum use and increasing their cleaning power.

To get the most out of microfibre cleaning, use only one section at a time.

  • Fold the towel in half (you get 4 cleaning sides) i.e., 2 sections on each side of the cloth
  • Fold in half again (you have 8 cleaning sides) i.e., 4 sections on each side of the cloth
  • Fold in half once again (you have 16 cleaning sides) i.e., 8 sections on each side of the cloth

Example: How to Clean a Mirror Using a Microfibre Towel in 45 Seconds

  1. Fold your dry microfibre as explained above.
  2. Buff the mirror dry to get rid of any residual dirt.
  3. Use one section of your cloth to wipe half of the mirror, then flip to the other side of the microfiber to clean the other half.
  4. Dip a clean microfibre (already folded) into a bucket of our special glass cleaning agent.
  5. Wring out as much liquid as possible.
  6. Gently wipe one half of the mirror and flip over to a clean section. Then clean the second half of the mirror.
  7. Fold over to a clean side and repeat step 6. At this stage, contaminants should have transferred from the mirror to the microfibre.
  8. Fold the dry towel onto a clean section and use it to polish the mirror.
  9. With proper use of a microfibre, you should have a mirror that is sparkling clean and streak-free.

Tips on How to Clean a Microfibre Towel

  • Do not clean with other materials other than microfibre.
  • Fabric softener should not be used as it clogs the fabric and limits its effectiveness.
  • Avoid using hot water, which over time might cause the fibres to break down.
  • Do not use high heat in the dryer, air-drying is best.
  • Avoid using anti-cling dryer sheets.
